NORTH Korea has pledged an attack on America that will dwarf the 9/11 attacks in a chilling warning.
The sinister socialist state said its destructive weapons were aimed at landmarks like the White House and Pentagon.
And it said that if three civilian planes could bring the country to its knees, their weapons would "wipe the country from history".
It follows a string of increasingly alarming threats from the missile-mad nation, including overt warnings it would nuke the whole US at once.
The article in DPRK today even boasted that America's terminal high altitude defence system (THAAD) would do no good against North Korean weapons.
A video showing missiles blasting a US navy plane and the White House was also published on the site.
Just five days before it ran the chilling editorial North Korea threatened New York City with a dirty H bomb more powerful than those developed by the former Soviet Union.
The state run paper stated: “Our hydrogen bomb is much bigger than the one developed by the Soviet Union.
"If this H-bomb were to be mounted on an intercontinental ballistic missile and fall on Manhattan in New York City, all the people there would be killed immediately and the city would burn down to ashes."
It was accompanied by several poorly-edited images that showed the victims of the horrific 9/11 attacks when al-Qaida hijacked four passenger jets.
Two were flown into the north and south towers of the World Trade Centre causing them to collapse.
A third plunged into the Pentagon.
Almost 3,000 were killed in what has been regarded as the worst terrorist attack in modern history.
