FORMER Newcastle and Tottenham star David Ginola is reportedly in a French hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest.
David Ginola has reportedly been hospitalised in Nice, French media has reported.
The former Newcastle United footballer fell ill while suffering from a high temperature, sources have claimed.
Ginola was signed by Newcastle for £2.5 million in 1995.
Reports from France suggest Ginola is unconscious but in a stable condition after falling ill at the football stadium of Mandelieu.
He has been transferred to the Hospital Princess Grace of Monaco.
He reportedly took part in a golf competition between fellow sports personalities this afternoon.
The French footballer made a total of 195 appearances in the Premier League for Newcastle, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Everton – scoring 21 goals.
He was voted the PFA Player of the Year in 1999 after an excellent season with Spurs.
The playmaker won 17 caps for France.
