Primary school teacher sacked after X-rated holiday twerking video went viral

A PRIMARY school teacher lost her job after this video of her twerking on holiday 400 miles away from her school in a skimpy bikini went viral.

The 24-year-old said she was forced into quitting her job after footage of her grinding on top of a judge and thrusting her cleavage into his face during a beach dance competition was spotted by parents who called for her head.

The X-rated display took place while she was on an Easter break in Cabo San Lucas, a popular holiday spot in Baja California a 15-hour drive and ferry ride away from the school in Ciudad Obregon in the northern Mexican state of Sonora where she had taught for three years.

Egged on by friends, she agreed to take part and ended up winning and claiming the top prize of DOLLARS 260 (POUNDS 185) with her sexy moves to the Daddy Yankee reggaeton hit Rompe.

One of the videos taken by onlookers ended up going viral after being posted on a local Facebook news site - and reaching shocked parents who registered an official complaint.

Last night the teacher, named only as Miss Clarissa in local press, blasted her former employers at the prestigious fee-paying Cumbre del Noroeste Institute and said they should "get with the 21st century."

She told Mexican newspaper Reforma, where she identified herself as Carla: “I knew there were mobile phones but I never imagined this would go viral and anyway, I’m not doing anything bad.

“It was a dance competition, something like this doesn’t define me as a person, it was my free time and we’re in the 21st century.

“It’s not something to be afraid of, I’m not naked, I’m not having sex or taking drugs or disrespecting anyone.”

Revealing how she began to get friend requests from male strangers on her social media sites after returning home and was called to a meeting with school head Leticia Valle and a lawyer who proposed she resign to “cool things down”, she added: “The situation got out of control and even before I got back from holiday it was becoming a problem on social media.

“My friends told me about it and I began to get a lot of friends’ requests from men I’d never met which I had to ignore and eliminate.

“Someone identified me a teacher as the video reached more and more people and immediately related it to my work and published photos of me with my pupils.

I was branded immoral and it hurt that people crossed that line because didn’t have anything to do with my job and the children that appeared in those photos should have been kept out of it.

“They didn’t give me any other option at my school than to resign. I felt I was being attacked and put under pressure. I didn’t know what else to do apart from leave as quickly as I could.

“I’m a human being like everyone else and at time people believe your profession defines you and you don’t have a life outside of your job, that you don’t have friends or family or free time.

“We’re not all saints and you can’t judge a person and question their reputation and their job over something like this.”

A spokesman for Mango Deck Restaurant Bar & Beach Club, the beach bar which organised the dance competition, said participants had been warned they could end up on the Internet.

Ricardo Araoz, one of the owners, said: “We didn’t force anyone to participate in this way and if this young woman wanted to get up and dance like this, it’s her responsibility.”

Adriana German, deputy director at Cumbre del Noroeste Institute, insisted she had resigned for “personal reasons.”

The teacher at the centre of the scandal was receiving overwhelming support on social media sites today/yesterday (SUN).

Viviana Garcia wrote on Facebook: “They’ve gone too far. The teacher’s personal life is her own business.

“It would be different if she didn’t do her job properly. I’d sue the school and with what I earn from winning the lawsuit, I’d take myself off on another holiday and dance even more sexily.”

Florencio Parra Sanchez said: “Normally I’m a puritan but this woman wasn’t in class, it was a school break and she didn’t dance like this in her classroom in front of her pupils.”

Mariandy Vasquez added: “What next! Are we going to fire pregnant women because it’s obvious they had sex! What a bunch of hypocrites!”

Last night a backlash over what had happened was gaining force on the Internet.

Nearly 150 people had signed a change.org petition calling for Miss Clarissa to be given her job back.

An accompanying text, said to have been written by angry parents who did not support her "sacking" and threatening a school fees boycott if she wasn’t reinstated, said: “Parents of children at Cumbres Institute deny demanding her resignation.

“We are angry at the way she was sacked, using a sexist pretext when she was doing what everyone does on holiday which is dance in a bikini.

“The children she taught adored Miss Clarissa and were very sad when they found out she wouldn’t be taking class anymore.”

Cabo San Lucas, located at the southernmost tip of Mexico’s Baja California, has been a favourite destination for Spring Break travellers from the US for decades.

Fans discovered the tweets after going through his Twitter account once he was unveiled.

The 24-year-old, who signed for feeder club Barcelona B, claimed the tweets were sent by a friend and apologised as he admitted his dreams had been shattered.
