Apocalypse fears as planet Mercury's rare transit linked to Biblical 'destruction'

MERCURY'S rare transit across the sun has been linked to an apocalyptic prophecy, sensational reports have claimed.

Crackpot theorists believe tomorrow's rare alignment could spell the end of the world.
They claim the precise positioning of planets amid renowned star constellations could mean the end is nigh.
Mercury will align with Earth on May 9 as it passes the Sun in a rare phenomenon that occurs around every ten years.
The Mercury transit, rightDOOMSDAY: Mercury will appear like a tiny black fleck on the sun's surface
And conspiracy theorists will be watching with bated breath during this seven-hour transit because it appears to point to a specific Biblical passage that signals the end of the world.
The Prophetico claimed that the moon is in a crescent – or sickle – state to viewers from Earth on May 9.
This is because it is just three days after its new cycle begins.
The number three is important here. According to symbolism relates to sex sins in the Bible.
If watching from Jerusalem – the birthplace of Christianity – than the positioning of the crescent moon in alignment with the Orion constellation "turns Orion's club into a mace," a narrator on YouTube channel The Prophetico says.
He adds: "The moon itself has been turned into a sickle, so literally turning Orion’s club into a mace as he strikes the lion’s whelp along the cheek, during the transit [of Mercury].
"When we take a look at this, take note that Orion is the sign of the smite per Micah chapter five."
In Micah, chapters three through five, Micah asks God to take down the leaders who have "corrupted the people and lied to them", according to schmoop.com.
In the testament Micah calls for destruction and "God’s reign to be established".
The alignmentSOLAR: Jupiter is the outlier in the alignment
The website summarises: "Judah will have to suffer in exile, although with the understanding that God will eventually thrash their enemies."
But that's not all.
On analysis of the solar system positioning during the transit it appears all but one will form another crescent.
The odd one out is Jupiter and according to The Prophetico this is "extremely prophetic looking".
Jupiter will actually be sitting in the Leo constellation – which in Biblical symbolism translates to the Lion of Judah, they claim.
The transit should take around seven hours between 11am and 6pm – which is plenty of time to unleash living hell on Earth.
