When the “Tension” is “Normal”

Gage the pressure and slow down before the vessel bursts in the brain!

 Tension and Pressure Effects
Tension means pressure. Any substance inside any closed space exerts some pressure on the walls of the container holding it in place and that is normal pressure. Air inside your tire exerts pressure on the tire and you gage the air pressure to know whether it is too much or too little. Also some pressure must keep the water moving in the hose and pipes in your house for you to get water at the pump. If the pressure is too much the pipe will burst. If it is too little water will not flow.

What is Blood Pressure?
So the blood inside the blood vessels in our body exerts some amount of pressure on the wall of the vessels that hold it in place and this pressure allows the smooth flow of blood that circulates continuously throughout our body without ceasing.

Blood pressure & Brain
If pressure is too much or too high in the blood vessel, blood will not be able to reach all parts of the body to supply oxygen and nutrients and the vessel may also burst leading to severe headache, stroke and sudden death. If the pressure is too low, the flow of the blood will also be too slow and it will not be able to supply all parts of the body leading to dizziness fainting and death.

Blood pressure and heart
The heart must pump the blood within a normal range to have a smooth and effective circulation throughout the body. The heart functions best and the blood reaches every part of the body to supply oxygen and nutrients under normal blood pressure.

 Normal Blood Pressure
So the blood and its container, the vessels (arteries and veins) called blood vessels must contain certain amount of pressure by which the blood will be able to flow smoothly throughout the body to deliver its essential nutrients and oxygen and with which the heart will be able to pump easily without resistance to circulate the blood.
For adults, male and female, this blood pressure is normal within 90 – 140 mm/Hg for upper figure and Within 60 – 90mm/Hg for lower figure.
It is measured by a Blood pressure machine called Sphygmomanometer.
