The England striker scored an incredible volley from long range as Premier League leaders Leicester City beat Liverpool 2-0 at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.
Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy said he spotted Simon Mignolet straying off his line throughout the victory over Liverpool before beating the Belgian with a sensational long range volley.
Vardy opened the scoring in the victory at the King Power Stadium, latching on to a Riyad Mahrez pass and letting fly from distance, lobbing Mignolet in the process.
And the England international, who scored the second goal of the game to wrap up a 2-0 win for the Premier League leaders, had anticipated such a chance would present itself during the game.
"To be honest with you I was looking all game and he was quite far off his line, so as soon as Riyad's played it through and it's bounced quite high and I've got no support, I've just took my chance and luckily its gone over the top of him," he told Sky Sports.
Asked if he had scored a better goal in his career, Vardy replied: "No, I don't [think I have] to be fair, but a goal's a goal and more importantly it's three points for the club."
Leicester remain top of the table after the win, three points clear of Manchester City, who they face at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
