Oscars 2016 winners list: Mad Max cleans up at awards show with six wins


MAD Max: Fury Road was the big winner of Sunday night’s Oscars.
Sam Smith
   BEST ORIGINAL SONG: Sam Smith, Writing's On The Wall from Spectre
The film won best costume design, production design, makeup & hairstyling, film editing, sound editing and sound mixing.
But it failed to pick up any of the most well known awards.
The Revenant’s Alejandro González Iñárritu won for directing and star of the movie .
Brie Larson won best actress for her role in The Room.
Alicia Vikander
   BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Alicia Vikander, The Danish Girl
And best picture went to Spotlight.
British singer Sam Smith performed Writing’s On The Wall from Spectre and won best original song for it, too.
In an emotional acceptance speech the openly gay artist dedicated his award to the LGBT community.
