Though they work in different fields – one a veteran pop vixen, the other a selfie-obsessed reality upstart – the pair have been battling for the rights to trademark Kylie for branding opportunities.
The Aussie pop princess has opposed Jenner’s US trademark application for the name Kylie to use for her expanding empire of beauty and clothing collections.
Minogue, 47, fanned the flames of the conflict after seemingly aiming a tweet at Jenner, sassing: "Hello… My name is Kylie."
Her fans erupted with joy and immediately tried to get the #thereisonlyoneKylie hashtag trending.

Australian business KDB who represent Minogue claimed that if the US Patent and Trademark Office approved Jenner’s application then it would cause "confusion among consumers between the two Kylies" and "dilute her brand".
And the company threw further shade branding Jenner a "secondary reality television personality" who has received criticism from disability rights groups – after a bizarre wheelchair photo-shoot – and Afro-American communities.
They also slammed her "photographic exhibitionism" on social media.
Ouch.
When not battling pop legends 18-year-old Kylie is dismissing reports she had plastic surgery.
"I thought [internet speculation] was going to chill down when I said: ‘OK, I admit it, I got my lips done'," she told Wonderland Magazine.
"I never lied, I just wasn’t telling the whole truth.
"People don’t realise I just turned 18, so there’s no way my mum would ever let me undergo a nose job or a boob job."
