Painful! The Deplorable Condition of Roads in the South-East and South-South Will Make You Weep

This sad and deplorable condition of roads in the south-east and south-south will give you a cause for concern as many easterners have been subjected to difficult conditions while using the roads.

Recently, the Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo was called many unprintable names because he said thePeoples Democratic Party did not construct any single New Road throughout their 16 years in power.

That might be a bogus claim, but he is not far from the truth. Many Nigerians do not really know what people in the Southeast suffer after giving their massive support for the PDP in the last 16 years. Many have lamented that the party did not do anything tangible for the Southeast.

Torinews gathered that some roads in the Southeast are so deplorable that cars are literary pushed and most times break down on the roads because of the bad condition. The roads are waterlogged with potholes and some are not tarred.

According to an eyewitness who lamented the deplorable condition of the roads, he said: "Some people who are yet to recover from their political miscalculation in the last election, came for his head, branding him a liar and also circulated pictures of less than 150 Km REHABILITATED Benin-Ore as their Only defence."

The man who lamented the bad condition of many roads in the Southeast, blamed Jonathan and his cohorts for it.

He added "I am from the South Eastern Part of the Country and one of the most neglected regions of the country by the past governments.

"There is no way one will pass thru these roads without dropping and heaping curses on the past governments, especially goodLUCK EBELE Azikiwe Jonathan, our adopted Son, in whom we hugely supported and still being regarded as our best".

Here are some pictures showing the deplorable condition of some roads in the Southeast. The photos were taken by a concerned Nigerian along Onitsha- Enugu- Portharcourt Expressway and Aba-Ikot-Ekpene-Uyo Expressway.
