The kooky singer took to the stage to perform her song ’Til It Happens To You.
The ballad was also nominated for Best Original Song, however it was beat by Sam Smith’s Writing’s On The Wall.
Wearing all white, the 29-year-old took her place behind a grand piano and tapped her way through the moving lyrics.
And she was joined on stage by a large group of survivors of sexual assault.

Speaking on the red carpet, Gaga – real name Stefani Germanotta – spoke of the important of her song, from documentary The Hunting Ground.
She said: “It’s such an important song to me.
“One in five women will be raped before the time they finish college.
“One in 20 men will be raped before they finish their schooling or university.

“I, myself, am a survivor.
“We are very grateful to the Academy for giving the stage to survivors.”
The American Horror Story: Hotel actress received a standing ovation for performance which left a number of A-list attendees visibly emotional.
Rachel McAdams – whose film Spotlight won best picture – could even be seen wiping a tear away from her face.
