GRUESOME: A large chunk of flesh was bitten out of Kate Nield's cheek
Kate Nield was at a party at a friend's house on Thursday night when she was viciously attacked by the crazed lady.
The 26-year-old social worker said: "We were all at my friend’s house having drinks. The more drinks this other girl had, the more angry she got. Eventually she was asked to leave.
"But she came back into the house, and she attacked me. She was like a raving lunatic. She bit me and took a big chunk out of my face. There was blood everywhere.
"My friend who was with me managed to get her off me."
BLOODY: The mum was left gushing blood after a woman bit her
Kate, from Southport, Merseyside, who has two daughters aged seven and 10, remains in hospital today, having undergone gruelling plastic surgery to repair her face.
So far, she has had skin taken from her back grafted onto her cheek in an hour-long operation.
Her mate, Keely Fletcher, set-up a GoFundMe to pay for make-up so she feels confident enough to show her scarred face in public again.

Kate told Southport Visitor newspaper: “My Mum was devastated and has been crying non-stop for the past two days.
“Some people are trying to justify it, saying [my attacker] is not that kind of girl.
“She clearly is that kind of girl because she has attacked me and she has bitten a big chunk out of my face.
“I just want everyone to know what an animal she is and that she can’t get away with doing that to somebody.”
STITCHES: Kate Nield has been left with a huge scar after surgery
Daily Star Online has contacted Merseyside Police, but they have yet to comment on the incident.
This is not the first time people have sunk their teeth into someone during an attack.
In 1997, former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson took a bite out of opponent Evander Holyfield's earlobe during a Las Vegas fight.
Closer to home, ex Jonathan Creek star Alan Davis drunkenly lunged teeth-first at a tramp's ear.
