The magazine has previously featured other reality stars like Gigi Hadid in their prized swimsuit issue.
But the 66-year-old is set to pose in "nothing but an American flag and her Olympic medal", a source told Us Weekly.
The I Am Cait star – who was formerly known as Bruce – set a world decathlon record in 1976 at the Montreal Summer Games.

Caitlyn says she had kept her "most prized possession" at the bottom of her makeup drawer up until now.
In blog post last year, she wrote: "I never wanted my kids to feel like they had to have a gold medal in order to be considered a success.
"I didn't want them to constantly compare their own achievements to my time in the Olympics, so I haven't displayed my medal."
