VERNON Kay was reportedly forced to drop out of hosting The One Show for "crisis talks" with his wife Tess Daly.

The presenter was hit with claims that he had been texting Rhian Sugden again, following a sexting scandal in 2010.
The 41-year-old has since said that Tess knew about the messages, and that the texts were innocent attempts to get "answers" about his and Sugden's previous exchanges.
He said in a statement: "I recognise how it may look when messages are pulled out of context but there was never any inappropriate intent to our communication.
"I was merely trying to find answers to questions I've had since 2010."
But Tess, who turned 47 yesterday, is said to be "furious and devastated" at the texts, according to The Sun.
And instead of jumping onto his One Show hosting duties, he reportedly spent the evening with his wife.
A source told the paper: "Vernon understood saving his marriage came before his career ambitions with the BBC.
"It clearly wasn't the right time for him to be presenting a family teatime show.
"He needed to be with Tess for them to talk through exactly what had happened."
A friend added: "Tess is absolutely furious and devastated that Vernon has humiliated her like this again.
"She can't believe he has allowed Rhian to become a factor in their marriage again. She'll forgive him eventually but it's going to take a long time to get things back on track."

Vernon told his listeners on Radio X this morning that he had woken up with a headache, and we think we can guess why.
