ADELE is to slug it out with Chris Evans at the TV Bafta awards.
Her show Adele At The BBC, which aired in November last year, is nominated for best entertainment show category.
The one-off, which aired last November is up against, Chris’s TFI anniversary special, Britain’s Got Talent and Strictly Come Dancing.
A Bafta source said: “It’s the first time we’ve had a show like this nominated for an award but Adele’s show drew 5million viewers and she’s a big deal in the music industry.”
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts ceremony, which will be hosted by Graham Norton, will take place in London on Sunday May 8.
Idris Elba is up for best leading actor for his role in Luther while Sheridan Smith and Suranne Jones are nominated for best leading actress after starring in The C Word and Doctor Foster respectively.
I’m A Celebrity will battle against First Dates and Gogglebox for the best reality show.
The BBC Two period drama Wolf Hall is up in four categories – leading actor and actress, best supporting actor and best drama.
Peter Kay’s Car Share has three nominations for best male and female comedy performance and best scripted comedy.
