Boy charged after 15-year-old girl drug death

A BOY of 15 has been charged with supplying illegal drugs after a teenage girl died.

Dione Melville, also 15, was found unconscious on Sunday morning after taking an unidentified tablet.
She was taken to hospital but died a short time later.
Two friends of the same age were also taken to hospital but are said to be recovering.

A post mortem was yesterday being carried out on Dione, from East Calder, West Lothian.
The 15-year-old boy who has been charged is from the same area.
A friend of the tragic teenager said on social media: “RIP Dione but police should be looking for the dealer.”
And a local parent said: “It’s terrible what has happened. Another family destroyed because of drugs.
“Nobody knows yet what they were taking but some have said ecstasy and others are saying legal highs.
“There’s loads of stuff getting sold to the kids in schools.
“My kids come home and tell me ecstasy and even smack is freely available.

“The dealers don’t care that (their victims) are still at school and some kids think it’s cool.”
A teenager collapsed and died while taking an exam in school.
Jessica Davies, 16, suffered a series of seizures in St Helens, Merseyside.
