Twisted ISIS 'poised to slaughter every Christian left in Raqqa'

ISLAMIC State are set to murder every Christian in the Syrian city of Raqqa, experts fear.

According to local activists, more than 40 Christian families live in Raqqa – which the terror group has declared its 'capital'.
And there are fresh concerns for their safety after reports ISIS militants have banned them from leaving the city.
The group Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently last night tweeted: "ISIS is preventing any Christians or Armenians who remain in Raqqa to leave."

ISIS is believed to have forced out thousands of Christians since declaring a caliphate in Iraq and Syria.
More than 1.4million Christians lived in Iraq under Saddam Hussein's reign but just 260,000 remain, according to recent figures.
And the religion could be extinct from the war-torn country in just five years, the charity Aid to the Church in Need has claimed.

Earlier this month the US Secretary of State condemned ISIS – also known as Daesh – for committing acts of "genocide" against Christians.
John Kerry said: "Daesh is responsible for genocide against groups including Yazidis, Christians and Shia [Shi'ite] Muslims.
Naming these crimes is important, but what is essential is to stop them."
