A TEEN who died after collapsing during an exam is being given a moving send-off by the medic who tried to save her life.
Jessica Davies, 16, was rushed to hospital after becoming unwell during a test at St Cuthbert's High School earlier this month.
Paramedic David Fitzmurphy stayed by her side throughout her traumatic ordeal when he arrived at the St Helens school.
He became friends with her family after she fell into a coma and now raising money for the youngster's funeral.
A spokesman for the school paid tribute to Jessica, saying: "We are extremely saddened to announce the tragic death of one of her Year 11 students.
"Jessica Davies died suddenly in the early hours of March 23.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Jess' family and friends at this very sad time. May she rest in peace."
