JACK WILSHERE is on the verge of returning to full training.
The Arsenal midfielder has not played all season after breaking his leg in August but could feature in an Under-21 clash against Newcastle next Friday, according to the Daily Mirror.
And Gunners coaches are reportedly confident he will be back in first-team action before the end of the campaign.
Wilshere is desperate to be fit for the European Championship with England boss Roy Hodgson keen on including him in his 23-man squad.
The 24-year-old bagged a brace in his last competitive game when England beat Slovenia in June.
"Jack Wilshere is doing well," the Arsenal boss said on Friday.
"He is out running today so he is very positive.
