A video has emerged of two women showering polce with bullets in a terrorist attack in Istanbul, Turkey.
The women can be seen brandishing guns as they target a police station in the Bayrampasa district.
The pair point their rifles as they attempt to hold up a bus.
They later hrew a grenade into the street before barricading themselves in a government building, officials said.
Scores of special forces in bullet-proof vests were sent out as the shoot-out unfolded.
And terrified citygoers were evacuated as police put out a terrorist alert across Turkey's busiest city.
The women hijacked a police car in an attempt to get away but found themselves cornered when they barricaded themselves into a police building.
They have since been killed by specialist officers.

It is the latest in a series of violent attacks in the country.
Just last month a suicide car bombing targeted military buses in capital Ankara killed 29 and injured 61.
It is a prime target for terrorist group ISIS.
And Kurdish militants and radical leftists have all staged bombings too, amid political turmoil.
Opposition party Kurdistan's Working Party (PKK) is locked in battle with Turkey and is now considered a terrorist group.
It joined forces with the United States and the European Union in armed rebellion against the state more than three decades ago.
