A WOMAN has pleaded guilty to trying to join the sick Islamic State after becoming a Muslim a year ago.

Jaelyn Delshaun Young’s husband, Muhammad Oda Dakhlalla, entered the same plea less than three weeks ago.
The couple were arrested while trying to board a flight to Turkey as part of their plan to reach Syria.
Young’s deluded Twitter activity caught the attention of FBI agents, who set up a sting to catch the jihadi lovebirds.
An agent contacted them pretending to be a recruiter for the heinous terror group.
In return, Young and Dakhlalla pleaded to “correct the falsehoods” spread about ISIS in the media - including stories that brutal jihadis sell young girls as sex slaves.
In documents seen at her trial, Young admitted to being the “planner of the expedition”.
The pair also asked the undercover FBI agent about English language Koran lessons and possible military training provide by ISIS fighters.
The couple hail from Mississippi and are both US citizens.
Although she could land 20 years in prison, prosecutors have agreed not to press any other charges against Young because of her guilty plea.
