ADELE has warned Donald Trump he should stop using her music at political rallies after fans complained he was playing her tracks to boost his campaign.
The US Presidential hopeful has been using her hits such as Rolling in the Deep and Skyfall to stir up support at campaign events before his
appearance, but angry fans have been upset by the choice.
Reacting to the Republican politician’s playlist, one angry tweeter wrote: “Don't suppose he asked for her endorsement. Hopefully she's objected.”
Another added: “I think she's cringing as much as we are ... wish he would drown in the deep. The bigot.”
But the 27-year-old superstar has now revealed he isn’t allowed to use her tracks for political purposes, even though he’s a fan.
A spokesperson told The Independent: “Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning.”
The move comes after Trump’s rival Mike Huckabee tried to gather support by posting a cover of her hit Hello on YouTube – although the audio was later muted due to a copyright claim.
Adele has kept her political views private since declaring herself a “Labour girl” back in 2011.
