'Black power has become a privilege' Katie Hopkins takes on Kanye in shocking Twitter beef

KANYE West may have met his match when it comes to outrageous social media claims.

After flooding Twitter with yet another stream of angry Tweets yesterday, claiming "the system's designed for coloured people to fail" and baffling fans with wacky statements about his state of debt, the rapper invoked the wrath of motormouth Katie Hopkins.

Her response? Not pretty.

After Kanye wrote: "To Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, New York Times, and any other white publication. Please do not comment on black music anymore", the rent-a-gob hit back.

She wrote: "I'd argue black power has become a position of privilege, where you are allowed to say things, demand things, pretend to represent issues which simply aren’t there."

And there was us thinking she just had it in for the overweight and immigrants.

"Kanye says the system is designed for coloured people to fail, and one of their only voices is music. (How a black President fits into paranoid Kanye’s world view is anyone’s guess)" she continued.

"So there you go – young black men. You heard it direct from Kanye, you will fail in the white man’s world so you may as well give up trying."

Doesn't matter whether you're on benefits or a global superstar, no-one escapes the acid tongue of this columnist.

She might be barking up the wrong tree a lot of the time, but we have to give the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant top marks for consistency when it comes to causing offence.

Kanye has yet to respond to the tweets directly, but that is one clash of the (gobby) titans that we'd love to see.
