NO GO: Barcelona are not interested in Leicester hero Riyad Mahrez
Mahrez was sensational for the Foxes last season, being named the PFA Players' Player of the Year as Claudio Ranieri’s men clinched the Premier League title.
The 25-year-old has three years left on his current contract but the champions have offered him a new deal to vastly bump his wages up in a hope to ward off potential suitors.
Leicester saw star man N’Golo Kante leave the club over the weekend, completing a £32m move to Chelsea, and are worried that Mahrez could follow suit.
While there remains interest from the Premier League’s big guns, Starsport also understand that Ranieri is convinced that Mahrez is staying put.
Despite the ex-Le Havre ace holding off on signing a new deal, Ranieri has told friends he believes Mahrez will still be at the club next season.
