BURNLEY have launched a bid for Liverpool full-back Jon Flanagan.
BID: Burnley are reportedly keen on Jon FlanaganAccording to The Sun, Clarets boss Sean Dyche has asked to take the 23-year-old on a season-long loan. It's claimed Dyche has turned to Flanagan after being quoted £4m for Leeds starlet Charlie Taylor.Dyche is keen to strengthen his squad following promotion to the Premier League and has just seven defenders in his first-team squad. But Liverpool may not be willing to help out after the lengthy battle last season to settle on a transfer fee for striker Danny Ings.Flanagan broke into Liverpool's first team during their title charge in the 2013/14 campaign. The Anfield youth product was dubbed 'the Scouse Cafu' and received praise from the Brazil legend but has barely figured in the last two years due to injury. He signed a new three-year deal in March but faces competition at right-back from Nathaniel Clyne while Jurgen Klopp is on the hunt for a left-back.Klopp is reportedly keen to see Flanagan in action during pre-season before deciding on his future.
