Man United to wait until end of July to learn midfielder fate as transfer rivals talk move

Spanish outlet Don Balon say that the Real Madrid hierarchy will sit down with the playmaker and thrash out a plan in a few weeks time on their pre-season tour.

The Spanish giants will be in Canada preparing for next season when Rodriguez will return to training after his efforts at the Copa America.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with the Colombian and he looked certain to leave.

But this latest report - and United's move for Paul Pogba - could end a potential transfer.

Paris St-Germain are also said to be interested and were thought to be in advanced talks with the 24-year-old.

However their president Nasser Al-Khelaifi denied this was the case this afternoon.
