STARSPORT brings you the latest transfer news and gossip from Anfield.
Premier League champions Leicester are set to snub a last-ditch attempt from Liverpool to sign Ben Chilwell, according to reports.
The 19-year-old has been on Jurgen Klopp's radar for some time and the Reds sent scouts to watch him play against Celtic on Saturday.
But the Daily Mail claim the England Under-21 star will reject the offer and Chilwell will sign a new five-year deal with the Foxes.
Liverpool are said to have bid £7m for the youngster last month but had their advances dismissed.
GOING NOWHERE: Ben Chilwell is set to stay at Leicester
The Reds have handed a trial to former Barcelona defender Juanma.
Development team manager Michael Beale told the Liverpool Echo: “Juanma is a boy who’s come in to spend the week with us with a view to maybe seeing more of him.
“He’s only had a couple of days training with us, speaks very little English but you can see a very good player. He had a fantastic assist for Brooks Lennon.”
Juanma is capable of playing in both central defence and at left-back and progressed through Barcelona's youth teams.
Beale added: "I quite like him, he reminds he a little bit of someone like a Pablo Zabaleta-type player, a nice player."
Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli appears to have hit a new low after being banished to train with the Reds’ reserve team.
The enigmatic Italian is back at Anfield, but has been told by Klopp to find a new club this summer.
And Balotelli revealed on Instagram today that he's strutting his stuff with the reserve side.
He wrote: "Still working hard with reserve team. Top quality session today with top players. #respect"
