Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp demands improvement after Fleetwood win but hails youngsters

JURGEN KLOPP is demanding more from his Liverpool squad following their pre-season rout of Fleetwood.

WIN: Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool beat Fleetwood 5-0
The Reds claimed a 5-0 victory over the League One side at Highbury Stadium thanks to a strong second half showing.
New signing Marko Grujic netted in the first period after Danny Ings had missed from the penalty spot.
Klopp then made wholesale changes at the interval and Ben Woodburn, Lucas Leiva and a Roberto Firmino double made it a comfortable evening for the Reds in the second half.
Liverpool face Wigan and Huddersfield within the following week before their more illustrious pre-season friendlies against the likes of Chelsea, AC Milan and Barcelona.
And while Klopp was happy with their performance on the whole against Fleetwood, he says his side need to improve.
The Kop boss said: "In the first half I was not too happy with the performance because of course we are the better team, we have the better players.
"In the second half they changed, we changed - in that [second period] we tried to use information from the first half in it and we scored nice goals.
"It was ok. It is how it is. It is not a moment for being satisfied, we have to improve."
Klopp was happy to see the likes of Grujic and Woodburn perform well.

He added: "It's important that he [Marko Grujic] can get confidence, that's how it is. He's still a young player. I'm very happy for the boys, they did well today.
"In the end, they are only wearing a Liverpool shirt because they are good. They have to make each other stronger, to work together.
"I want to see things we're doing in training even when they are tired, you have to fight against your body, maybe against your brain.
"If a little voice tells you you're tired you have to say 'shut up' and go on."
