BREAKING: Boy, 18, was one of Normandy church attackers

AN 18-year-old boy was one of the attackers who carried out the savage slaughter in Saint Etienne du Rouvray which left a Catholic priest dead, according to French media reports.

PRIEST: Jacques Hamel was slaughtered by two men – one thought to be just 18.

The teenager was shot at the scene when he and a fellow Islamist stormed a church earlier this morning.

They cut the throat of Father Jacques Hamel  and took others hostage. 

Before they killed the priest they screamed "Allahu Akbar" and are alleged to have filmed the attack.

The young perpretrator has so far only been named by French authorties as A.K.

It is also believed that his brother had travelled to Syria in 2015.

ISIS have already claimed they were behind the attack.
A boy of just 16 years-old has been arrested by French officials over the bloody killing.
It is the latest in the number of horrific attacks to take place in Europe.
