Liverpool have agreed to let Jon Flanagan join Burnley in a season-long loan deal, according to the Mirror.
The versatile defender made just five top flight appearances last term as he struggled with a knee injury.
But the Reds still view him as an important player going forward and were reportedly reluctant to sanction a permanent transfer for the 23-year-old.
They hope a season of regular first-team football with the Clarets will help him return to full fitness.

Chelsea are closing in on the re-signing of Romelu Lukaku, according to reports.
Everton have slapped a mammoth £75m price tag on their star striker.
And Chelsea have already had a bid of £57m rejected by the Merseyside outfit this summer.
But according to the Evening Standard, the Blues are still confident they can bring the 23-year-old back to Stamford Bridge with an offer of around £60m.

Jose Mourinho’s summer spending isn’t set to stop anytime soon, despite the impending world-record capture of Paul Pogba.
According to the Sunday Times, United boss is in the market for a second centre-back, having already secured the services of Eric Bailly from Villarreal last month.
And he apparently believes Leonardo Bonucci is one man who could beef up his defensive options.
But the 29-year-old won’t come cheap, with Juventus reportedly valuing him at a cool £60m.
Alternative defensive targets for Mourinho are said to include Ezequiel Garay of Zenit St-Petersburg andSouthampton star Jose Fonte.
