Chelsea make £38m bid for international star

CHELSEA have reportedly launched an improved £38m bid for Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly.
Koulibaly is rated as one of finest centre-backs in Europe at the moment and has been consistently linked with a move to the Premier League.
Chelsea have been rumoured as potential suitors of the Senegal international and now Sky Sportsclaim they are upping their efforts to sign him.
They report that the Blues have tabled a second offer for the 25-year-old defender, this time at £38m.
But they add that Napoli are yet to respond to the bid.
The Mirror claimed earlier in the summer that Chelsea had seen a £19.2m bid rejected.
Koulibaly, who joined Napoli from Belgian club Racing Genk for £5.25m in 2014, impressed for the Serie A club last season.

He made 42 appearances for the Italian giants as they finished second in the league.
Napoli have already seen another of their stars leave the club this summer.
Gonzalo Higuain completed his £75m move to rivals Juventus earlier this week.
