The allegedly kidnapped Bayelsa girl who was taken to Kano state by a Hausa young man, has arrived Abuja hours after she left Kano under tight security.
Ese Oruru, the teenager who was abducted from her Bayelsa home and moved to Kano for a forced marriage to one Yunusa Yellow, has arrived Abuja from Kano.
Premium Times reports that Miss Oruru was driven into the Nigeria Police Headquarters in Abuja at exactly 12.55 pm.
She was dressed in a native attire and white hijab and she was accompanied into the complex by three unknown women.
On arrival, she was taken to the office of the Force Spokesperson, Bisi Kolawole, but then quickly taken away to another office shortly afterwards.
Waiting journalists were prevented from taking photographs of the delegation.
Mrs Kolawole later told journalists that the police was waiting for Miss Oruru’s parents to arrive before giving a press conference.
She indicated that the parents were on their way to Abuja from Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.
It will be recalled that Miss Oruru left Kano at 6a.m. Tuesday.
