SIR Elton John has fired back at his former bodyguard, who is suing him for sexual harassment, calling his allegations "patently untrue".
The star's lawyers have claimed that the suit by Jeffrey Wenninger is "baseless" and accused the ex-security man of being "disgruntled".
Orin Snyder, a US attorney for Rocket Entertainment Group said in a statement: "This baseless lawsuit is brought by a disgruntled former security officer seeking to extract an undeserved payment.
"These claims are patently untrue and contradicted by numerous previous statements made by this plaintiff. We will not give into his latest abuse of the legal system."
The statement comes as the singer's former security guard Jeffrey Wenninger has claimed Elton tried to force himself on him, according to a US report.
Wenninger has filed a lawsuit – seen by TMZ – against the 69-year-old, where he claims Elton put his hands down his pants.
The ex-security guard also claims the star "attempted to grab his genitals" when the two were in a car together in 2014.
According to the lawsuit, the singer also told him to "get your todger out" and also "say hello to Uncle Elton" in a separate incident, according to TMZ.
Wenninger – who is believed to have stopped working with the singer in September 2014 – says he attempted to verbally and physically resist, but it allegedly didn't stop the singer's advances.
He also claims that Elton twisted his nipples, and said "You gorgeous thing you".
The papers are said to have been filed in Los Angeles this week.
Elton began his relationship with David Furnish in 1993, and the couple married in December 2014, which was the ninth anniversary of their civil partnership.
They have two sons, Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, five and Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John, three.
Elton released his 32nd studio album, Wonderful Crazy Night in February.
The star founded the Elton John AIDS Foundation in 1992 as a charity to fund programmes for HIV/AIDS prevention, for the elimination of prejudice and discrimination against HIV/AIDS affected individuals, and for providing serves to people living with or at risk of contracting HIV/AIDS.
He began hosting his annual Academy Award party in 1993 and it has now become one of the most high-profile Oscar parties in the Hollywood film industry.
It has raived over $200 million.
