Champions League play-off draw: Man City and Celtic learn fate

MANCHESTER CITY will have to beat Steaua Bucharest to reach the Champions League group stages.

TOUGH TASK: Pep Guardiola's side must beat Steaua Bucharest
Pep Guardiola's men have been drawn against the Romanian outfit in the Champions League play-off round.
The ties will take place on August 16/17 and 23/24 with the winners going through to the lucrative group stages.
Guardiola has described his side's Champions League play-off tie as being one of the most important matches on the season.
The billionaires reached the semi-finals for the first time last season and it would be a huge embarrassment if they failed to get through.
Guardiola is now the highest-paid boss in the Premier League and has been charged with turning City into the kings of Europe.
City have never faced Bucharest before and now face a step into the unknown.
But Guardiola has spent more than £100m on new signings this summer and knows his side will be strong favourites to progress.
Celtic were handed a tie against Israeli side Hapoel Beer-Sheva after Brendan Rodgers' side beat Kazakh team Astana in the third qualifying round.
Dundalk are aiming to become the first team from the Republic of Ireland to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League and will face Legia Warsaw of Poland.
The Lilywhites produced a shock victory over BATE Borisov to secure a shot at reaching Europe's elite club competition.
