Man United's transfer business stalls: This is why Jose Mourinho can't get defender... yet

MANCHESTER UNITED's summer transfer business has stalled - because their players earn too much!

Jose MourinhoPROBLEM: United's transfer business has hit a brick wall
Jose Mourinho has signed four new players this summer.
Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba have all joined the Portuguese at Old Trafford.
Mourinho is reportedly after another centre-back to round off his summer shopping.
United top brass have told him to get players off the books before any new faces pitch up in Manchester.
But the club are having trouble shifting their unwanted men, with no other side willing to take on their pricey pay packets, ESPN report.
United are said to be open to selling or loaning out players Mourinho doesn't want.
But that's proving tricky - with clubs demanding the Old Trafford giants contribute heavily to wages for temporary deals, and players not willing to take big cuts to their pay in order to leave permanently.
United have spent close to £150m on new signings this summer - but have brought in just a fraction of that from sales.
Youngsters Tyler Reid and Joe Rothwell have departed for minimal fees while Donald Love and Paddy McNair joined Sunderland last week for around £6m.
Adnan Januzaj has also moved to Wearside on loan.
ESPN claim Marcos Rojo is the player United are most keen to get off the books.
The likes of James Wilson, Will Keane and Andreas Pereira could also leave.
