LIVERPOOL are prepared to wait until next summer to offload Christian Benteke, according to reports.
Despite his impressive goal scoring record during his three seasons with Villa, Benteke flopped in his debut Liverpool campaign.
His style was called into question and he found playing time hard to come by when Jurgen Klopp took over from Brendan Rodgers.
Benteke's Anfield future has been in major doubt this summer with the striker being linked to several clubs around Europe.
Crystal Palace made a £25m bid for the 25-year-old last month while the likes of West Ham and Everton remain keen on him.
And they add that Klopp and co are willing to hold on to him for another season given that he still has four years on his current deal.
