SOON: Ayew only joined Swansea last summer
The Welsh side have accepted the Hammers' £20m offer and he will have a medical this weekend, reports Sky Sports.
However, Swansea will only let the Ghanaian leave the club once they've signed another striker themselves.
Francesco Guidolin has lost Alberto Paloschi to Atalanta and Bafetimbi Gomis to Marseille on loan.
Yesterday they confirmed the signing of Spanish forward Fernando Llorente but they are still light up top.
Atletico Madrid striker Borja Baston is in talks with Swansea and could be the answer to their problems.
He has been out on loan for the past five seasons to five different Spanish sides.
He was at Eibar last season, scoring 18 goals in 36 La Liga games.
Ayew only joined the Swans last summer but impressed in his debut season at the Liberty.
He scored 12 Premier League goals in 34 appearances.
