EXIT: Will Hart leave City?
Speculation is mounting that Hart might become the highest profile departure from City now Guardiola has taken charge.
The Spanish boss has reservations about Hart's footwork and ability to start attacks from the back.
Guardiola was given the chance to back the England goalkeeper when he spoke to the media today ahead of tomorrow's opening Premier League game with Sunderland at the Etihad.
But while he insisted he likes Hart's qualities, Guardiola suggested he still had to make a decision on his future with club bosses.
Guardiola said: "Joe is a player that I'm so happy about his qualities, his behaviour and what he means to this club.
"After we are going to decide (his future) inside the doors (of the club). Now, he is a player of us."
Guardiola will be without new £38m signing Leroy Sane due to a hamstring problem but is expected to hand a debut to £50m man John Stones.
He is relishing the challenge of winning the title and admits he feels privileged to have been given the chance to manager City.
He added: "Of course it is special for me in the Premier League. I know I will be judged in terms of results, but for me I am a lucky guy to be here.
"I will always be grateful to the people of Manchester City, to all the staff, to give me this opportunity to be here for my first Premier League game.

"I like the fans expecting as much as possible. They have to do that. Of course we are here to win titles but there are six, seven, eight big Premier League teams.
"To create something we need time, to create something with ideas to attack we need time.
"But to play with soul, with soul and something inside we don't need time. We don't know if everyone is going to play good or if we will get the result, but I will not accept not playing with soul.
"We can do that from the first day and that is exactly what I am looking for from my team and my players."
