LUIS SUAREZ expects Liverpool to return to the top four under Jurgen Klopp this season.
The Reds are preparing for their first full season under the German but will be without European football after finishing eighth last term.
The Anfield outfit were in a similar position three years ago but, with the help of Suarez, came within two points of winning the Premier League title.
Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers last October and led Liverpool to two cup finals and Suarez believes his former club have a bright future under the 49-year-old.
He scored 82 goals in 133 appearances for the Reds during a three-and-a-half-year spell at the club and he is excited about the upcoming reunion.
“It’s a really nice moment for the supporters. I have some friends there and I think it’s a really good moment to come back to play against Liverpool,” Suarez added.
“I think for players when you play in front of 90,000 people, it’s a dream. Liverpool’s support is one of the best in the world and I think they are excited for the game to see great players on the pitch.
“Everybody knows Liverpool is so important in my life, in my career, and my family as well. My second child was born there and I had a really good moment there. I think it’s a nice moment for me.”
