SWISS club Sion are working on a deal for Mario Balotelli.
"We're progressing but I can't say yet if the transfer will be successful or not."
Balotelli is free to leave Liverpool and his agent Mino Raiola is desperately trying to flog the flop striker.
The player is training with Liverpool’s reserves after returning from a loan deal at AC Milan last season.
Balotelli, 26, scored just once in Serie A for Milan last term, having managed just one in the Premier League the year before.
Brendan Rodgers splashed out £16m for the player, but he proved to be a huge flop.
Balotelli has one year left on his Liverpool deal, meaning a season-long loan exit would see a zero return for the club when he walks away for nothing in 12 months time.
They could look to strike a cut-price sale now to ensure at least some of the cash spent on him is recouped, but rivals sides may prefer not to gamble on a permanent transfer.
