BBC presenter Chris Evans has been seen for the first time after Met Police confirmed he is now under investigation over allegations of sexual assault in the 1990s.
Dressed in a blue cap and jacket, the TV host – who today quit as the face of Top Gear – tried to keep a low profile as he left BBC Radio 2 studios in London.
However, despite covering his face with oversized shades Chris couldn't quite avoid the waiting paps.
The allegations claim he flashed and grabbed the breasts of a female colleague in the 1990s, it was confirmed today.
Cops are reportedly waiting to speak with the 50-year-old later this month following a complaint from a former work colleague.
The Met Police issued a statement that there is an ongoing investigation into the TV presenter, after an allegation of a non-recent sexual-assault was made against him.
In a statement, a spokesman said: “An allegation of non-recent sexual assault was made to police on May 23.
“The allegation was made by a woman against a man, and relates to incidents in Tower Hamlets in the 1990s.
“There have been no arrests and no person has been interviewed under caution.”
Speaking on Sunday night, a BBC spokesperson said: “Chris Evans will host tomorrow’s Radio 2 breakfast show as usual”.
While reps for Chris declined to comment when contacted by Daily Star Online, back in a 2005 chat with Sunday Times the BBC staple admitted to enjoying revealing himself in public.
“If you get your willy out, it’s the funniest thing in the world," he said.
"Everybody laughs, everyone of our generation.
"I wouldn’t do it in front of my mum, for example. Girls love it; boys -‘Oh, I can’t believe you did that’.
"It also takes the night to a new level. I actually haven’t done it for a while. But I will do it again.”
